Our heavy-duty flow plates are suitable for all vehicle types, from cars to 30-ton HGVs, making them ideal for car parks and industrial estates. They are designed to promote the flow of one-way traffic, reduce vehicle speeds, and prevent drivers from entering restricted areas or exiting through entrances.

Installation is straightforward and fixings for tarmac and concrete are provided free of charge.

Description

Heavy Duty Flow Plate:

  • Suitable for cars and HGV vehicles up to 30,000kg, maximum of 15,000kg per axle 
  • Slows vehicle speeds and promotes one-way traffic flow, maximum speed 5mph 
  • Surface fixed, making it easy to install or relocate. Each plate requires 7 fixings.
  • Fixings for concrete and tarmac are provided free of charge along with a drill bit 
  • Provided in yellow for high visibility
  • Chequered surface for optimum grip 
  • Durable design produced from steel. Hot dip galvanised and powder-coated surface
  • The height of the flow plate is 105mm, when the locking bolt is used the height is 40mm
  • Suitable for use in multi-story buildings, as will not penetrate membrane
  • Should be used in conjunction with Speed Bumps and Warning Signs
  • Fixings for tarmac and concrete are provided

This flow plate is designed to be used at speeds of up to 5mph to encourage the traffic to flow in one direction. The plate is supplied with fixings to allow this to easily be bolted into concrete and/or tarmac. The plate should not be used in areas with pedestrian traffic and should be used in conjunction with speed bumps or other traffic calming products.

HGV flow plates are suitable for use in areas of high traffic flow and can be used by all types of vehicles from cars to 30 ton HGV’s. This product is manufactured from a heavy duty gauge chequer plate, high tensile springs, and the extra wide plate.

It is important that flow plates are driven over in a straight line, vehicles should not approach or drive over the flow plates at an angle. 

Flow plates are not recommended to be used in pedestrian areas. For pedestrian and vehicle traffic we would instead recommend viewing our speed bump kits.

Flow plates can enhance safety and reduce congestion by ensuring vehicles travel in the correct direction.

Flow plates should be used in conjunction with Speed Bumps and Warning Signs. Flow plates should not be installed on or close to a bend as they should be driven over in a straight line.

Flow plates are not recommended to be used in pedestrian areas. For pedestrian areas, we would instead recommend installing speed bumps.

All of our flow plates are provided with fixings for tarmac and concrete and a SDS drill bit. The fixings are M10 x 120mm. The drill bit has a diameter of 14mm and 150mm drill length, total length 276mm.
