TRP40 Series Aluminium Car Ramps

The TRP40 profile depth is 40mm and features a capacity of up to 2900kg with 4 different widths available: 215mm, 315mm, 415mm or 615mm. These loading ramps are ideally suited for use as car ramps, lightweight vehicle ramps or motorcycle ramps. In particular these ramps are very useful as car ramps for customers having difficulty getting their low slung vehicle up their driveway

The TRP40 Series is perfect for vehicles with low ground clearance, such as sports cars, and low load heights- no more than 600mm.

Not suitable for solid wheels found on road surfacing machines - for this type of machinery please see the industrial ramps for steel tracks.

Aluminium Car Ramps FAQs

I am interested in purchasing a pair of car ramps. What should I check prior to purchase?
Before ordering, please check your load height — the vertical distance from the ground to where the ramp will rest on the kerb, container or vehicle. You’ll also need to confirm the total weight being loaded (including the car and any items inside it). If your vehicle has very low ground clearance, we recommend contacting our team before purchasing so we can confirm suitability or suggest a custom solution.
What is the benefit of purchasing aluminium car ramps over rubber car ramps?
Whilst rubber ramps are generally cheaper, they are usually built to a steeper gradient. Some cars, especially those with low clearance, can be damaged when going up a rubber ramp. Aluminium ramps are lighter and generally more portable than rubber solutions.
How do The Ramp People's car ramps stay in place during use?
Our ramps come with a choice of four connection options. The most popular is the ‘rest‑on’ connection, which features a pre‑drilled hole so the ramps can be safely secured during loading. Once positioned, the ramps stay firmly in place thanks to the connection design, their own weight, the weight of the item being loaded, and the base of the ramp, which is designed to remain securely on the ground.
Can The Ramp People's Car Ramps be used to load machinery?
Yes, the car ramps can be used to load light machinery with rubber wheels or rubber tracks. Please do of course ensure you are loading within the recommended load height and capacity.
What is the difference between the Car Ramps and Plant Ramps?
The Car Ramps have a low profile (40mm) and are designed to provide a smoother gradient to allow cars to safely climb the ramps. Most plant ramps are built for a 1:33 gradient, which is too steep for the majority of cars and increases the risk of grounding or damage to the vehicle.
