Expandable barriers are used as a temporary solution to restrict access in various environments. They are used in a variety of commercial settings including in shops, businesses, warehouses, offices, construction sites and at events. Barriers may be used in shops to mark off hazardous areas, for example, if a spillage occurs. In offices barriers are often put when cleaning is being undertaken to prevent workers from walking on wet floors or to highlight that cleaning is being undertaken. During events expanding barriers are often used to restrict pedestrian access to certain areas for security and safety. The portable barriers are also often used at construction sites when work is being undertaken to highlight risks and restrict access. Our Extendable Heavy Duty Safety Barrier on Wheels, red expandable barrier and yellow expandable barrier on wheels are all suitable to be used indoors and outdoors. The red expandable barrier can be filled with water or sand to weight the barrier down and keep it securely in place.
How long can expandable barriers extend?
We offer a range of expandable barriers which extend up to 4m in length. We also offer various interlocking barriers to allow you to connect multiple units together to cover your required area size.
How to the expanding safety barriers stay in place?
Various extendable barriers have security features to ensure they stay in place once positioned. For example, the heavy-duty safety barrier features a brake to securely lock in into place. It also has a locking mechanism to prevent people from opening the barrier and closing the barrier. Our plastic yellow expandable barrier on wheels also offers a brake function whilst our red expandable barrier has a hole to allow you to fill it with water or sand to weigh the barrier down, in turn helping it remain in place.
